My son is a union re-enactor. My husband and I went to our first re-enactment at Gettysburg, over the 4th of July weekend, this year, 2002. It was a big weekend - the 139th anniversary re-enactment.
While we were there, my son, his wife, and I went on a Ghost walk from the Farnsworth House in Gettysburg. There were about 100 people in the walk, and we didn't expect to really see anything. We had been told to bring our cameras and take pictures, because people sometimes found weird things in their pictures. We brought our cameras along, but didn't take any pictures until the very end. I know for myself, I figured I had carried the camera the entire time - I might as well take some pictures.
When I got home, I immediately dumped the digital pictures from my laptop to my desktop computer and burned two discs. I was leaving again very soon, and needed to free up space on my laptop.
I didn't have time to even look at the pictures until over a week later. I suddenly wondered where my "ghost" pictures were. Much to my amazement, there were strange bright circles in the pictures. I later discovered they were what is called "orbs". I was especially interested in this first picture. The upper left hand window has what looks like a face just above the middle of the window. Enhance the photo and you'll see what I mean. All the photos can be clicked to get a larger version of the picture. Anyway, that started the fascination, and I couldn't wait to go back to Gettysburg. I have a lot of other pictures that were taken during the 4th with orbs, but nothing that would definitely rule out reflections. I decided the next time I went "ghost hunting", I'd take 2 pictures in succession to see if the positions changed.
September brought the Antietam battle, which my son was going to be in again. My best friend went with me, and we stayed in Chambersburg, PA, close to Gettysburg and Antietam. We immediately went to Gettysburg, and right back to that building.
These are just a few of the pictures that I really would like an explanation for.
